Babies fall asleep in electric cars too!!

Our little baby girl arrived a few weeks ago, so I can now confirm the questions on everyones mind. Do babies fall asleep in electrics cars too. The answer is, YES they do, thanks goodness. The smooth and silent motion of the car is just as good for sending a little baby off to sleep.

I must confess I was a little worried with the size of the car.  I was worried that a new baby, with it’s extraordinary  amount of additional inventory may, not fit in the car. First, I installed the baby seat with no problems. Step one complete, but the real concern was the giant buggy base. Modern buggies are roughly the same size as the iMiEV, so you can see my worries. However, I wasn’t disappointed, the buggy slotted very nicely into the boot.

The iMiEV certainly has some Tardis qualities.

The amount of interest in the car continues to overwhelm me. On a near daily basis I’m asked about the car. All I can do is rave about. People always ask about the range and often see this as a blocker for them buying one. I tell them this is crazy, most people travel less than 50k a day. If you ever need to go on a long drive just rent a car.

The 70k range we get the our cars is more than enough for our families needs.

We’re so happy with the car.

Lots more happy motoring ahead :-)

Hi David, Congratulations to you and all the family on the birth of your new baby! We are delighted to hear all is well. Sounds like you are very busy with the new arrival, but I bet it’s great not to have to stop off at the petrol station again and again! And a 100% electric car emits 0 fumes so it’s definitely a health benefit.

And for all the readers, the cars that are part of the trial are pre-production which means that the range is less than the new cars on the market. The typical range of a Mitsubishi iMiEV is around 110-120kms but as David said, most people drive 50kms or less a day so it suits perfectly!
